I created Gamers4Jesus because I recognized a basic need for a ‘Christ centered’ conservative gaming fellowship on the Internet. Much of the Internet is evil, and a bad place for kids to meet, play or even socialize. Parents should get very involved and they should control, and know where their kids are spending their time. We are a gaming fellowship dedicated to living life based upon scripture and reaching lost souls for Christ.
I was born in 1962 in Southern California. I was ‘Born again’ in 1979 in Arizona. Although I was raised a Catholic, and attended Catholic school grades 1 through 7, and was an alter boy and had attended my first communion, was baptized, etc., I was never presented with the Gospel message, or the fact that I must be born again. It wasn’t until I was invited to attend a non-denominational church service, invited to go to the church service at a fast food restaurant of all places, where I finally became a Christian. When I was approached by these two young people, and invited to come to their church that night, something in my heart told me to go, even though I was there to water ski and hang out at the lake. God’s still soft voice told me I needed to go to church that night. I was able to convince my youngest sister to attend also, and when the alter call came, we both went up and accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Amen. Thank God for all those who are in His service, willing to spread the Gospel, as the Lord commands us:
Matthew 16:15-16
And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
I am married and have two wonderful children. We have home schooled our children for their entire lives. Two years ago, my daughter was enrolled in a Christian college prep school where she is doing extremely well. Her classes are logic and rhetoric, Greek Language, literature, biblical studies, history and mathematics. I am very proud of her excellent progress, and her brother will be joining her there very soon.
My father was a fire fighter for over 36 years. My mother was an office manager, and stay at home mom. I have two sisters, both are married with children, and I am happy to report my entire family is born again. My mother and father have been together for 49 years. Neither of them were ever married before, and I’m proud that they are a part of the small percentage of society, having never been divorced. They said to each other ‘for better or worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part’ and they meant it.
I am the CEO of a company involved in the technology field of web development and voice processing, to include VoIP, virtual private network implementation, data networks and communication systems. I have worked in corporate national accounts for MCI, Sprint and Pacific Bell, and the technology field for over 27 years.
I hold a weekly bible study here at Gamers4Jesus on our Team Speak server each Thursday night. Recently we completed a complete verse by verse teaching of the book of John, and we are currently studying the book of Revelation. We have over 150 bible studies available for download, and the list is growing week by week. Please visit our bible study download section and tune in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I currently serve as a Sunday School Teacher within the childrens ministry at Calvary Chapel for ages 9 and 10. We study through one book at a time, covering each verse within a book. We’re currently studying through the book of Mark.
My wife and our two children have been members of a Calvary Chapel for over 15 years. Calvary chapel is a non-denominational Church that believes in verse by verse teaching of the bible, which is our goal here at g4J, to teach verse by verse, precept upon precept.
I am a certified life guard and scuba diver. I have been diving in Hawaii, Southern California, and Israel’s Red Sea. I coach baseball for youth and have very recently taken an interest in Hockey. I have been playing competitive paintball for more than 20 years, and enjoy fishing, water and snow skiing, boating and dirt bike riding. Most recently my son and I have become involved in airsoft. My daugher decided she wanted to play hockey, and what a great player she has become! I ride a Dyna Harley Davidson, except when it snows.
